  • Before the Idea

Who’s Looking? A Body Sense Zine Workshop

What if the way you notice the world is already a source of creative material?

Join artist Deanne Eccles for a playful one-hour exploration of Body Sense Perception.

Through unique observation experiments, perception games and creative provocations, we’ll explore not only what we see,  but who is doing the seeing.

Discover what catches your attention, encounter some unexpected aspects of yourself, and allow observations to become words, marks, images and associations for zine-making.

No art experience or predetermined idea is needed.

Come curious, play with how you perceive the world and leave with something you didn’t know you were looking for.

  • Enjoy Public Speaking

Does speaking in front of a group of people make your stomach drop?

You’re not alone. Confidence isn’t something you’re born with. It’s something you build, one step at a time.

This hands-on workshop provides you with the practical tools to feel more prepared and less nervous.

We’ll talk openly about the fear of public speaking and simple ways to manage nerves.

We’ll then learn how to write a speech with clear structure, using a zine as a creative planning tool.

Finally, we’ll explore how to deliver your speech with impact, using your voice and body language to connect with your audience.

There will be a couple of demonstration speeches to show you how this can be achieved.

    Participants will walk away with:

    • Ways to manage their nerves

    • A simple structure for any speech

    • Their own speech-planning zine

    • Delivery tips to use straight away
